Hojjat al-Islam Karimi-Nia in an Interview with TNA:
Noble Messenger of Islam (PBUH) Is the Manifestation of Unity
Hojjat al-Islam Mohammad Mahdi Karimi-Nia, a professor at the Qom Seminary, said in an interview with Taghrib News Agency(TNA) that the Noble Messenger of Islam (PBUH) represents the embodiment of unity.

He explained: The Prophet (PBUH) introduced himself as the manifestation of divine mercy and compassion, stating: “Indeed, I was sent as mercy” (Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 16, p. 402). The conduct of the Prophet (PBUH) is a practical model for human moral education, and this education reaches its most complete and perfect expression in the behavior of the Imams of Guidance (AS), whose conduct is inseparable from that of the Prophet (PBUH).
Hojjat al-Islam Karimi-Nia further noted that Almighty God says in the Holy Qur’an: “Perhaps you would consume yourself with grief because they do not become believers” (Surah Ash-Shu‘ara, verse 3), and in another verse: “And We have not sent you except as a mercy to the worlds” (Surah Al-Anbiya, verse 107). In reality, the Prophet of Islam removed sorrow and distress from the faces of the believers and replaced them with mercy and kindness.
This university professor emphasized that God Almighty introduced the Noble Messenger of Islam as a universal and all-encompassing mercy. Consequently, his mercy includes all human beings; every person, regardless of creed, race, or ethnicity, is equal before the Prophet’s mercy and benefits from it. Thus, God presented his compassion and kindness to the entire world.
He added that the Prophet (PBUH) exerted every effort for the guidance of humanity. His deep compassion and concern for disbelievers and deniers of truth, as well as his sincere desire for the salvation and happiness of all people, reached such an extent that Almighty God consoled and comforted him, lest he be overwhelmed by grief and concern for their condition.
In conclusion, he stressed that the Prophet (PBUH) regarded all human beings, without exception, as his beloved children and parts of his own being. He desired goodness and guidance for all of them, and when he saw them heading toward misguidance and destruction, he became deeply sorrowful—just as a kind father grieves over the ruin of his children. Therefore, may we strive to be true followers of the Prophet and take the lead in implementing divine commandments.
