He stated that the solution to confrontation with the U.S. lies not in negotiation, but in “becoming strong enough to achieve deterrence.”

Raziyani outlined three historical events that occurred on the 13th of Aban (November 4th): the exile of Imam Khomeini in 1964 in protest against the “Capitulation Law,” which symbolized domination and humiliation of Iran and Islam; the killing of students in 1978 by U.S.-backed forces; and the 1979 takeover of the U.S. embassy. He described these as interconnected links in a long-standing struggle.
Reacting to some analyses of the embassy takeover, Raziyani said: “Some ask why the embassy was attacked and blame all problems on that event. This view ignores the ‘thick book’ of U.S.-Iran relations. Why is the 1953 coup, the crimes of American advisors, Carter’s full support for the Shah, and efforts to revive colonialism overlooked? A proper analysis must examine the entire book, not just a single page from its middle.”
Referring to Imam Khomeini’s support for the embassy takeover and his description of it as the “Second Revolution,” Raziyani noted: “This event was a response to America’s new conspiracies after the revolution. The hostility of the U.S. toward Iran is inherent; the nature of America is arrogance and domination. Unless this nature changes, expecting resolution through negotiation is naïve.”
In conclusion, Raziyani explained the key strategy for confronting the U.S., based on the guidance of the Supreme Leader: “The solution is to become so strong that they dare not interfere with this country. The more we show willingness to negotiate and offer concessions, the bolder they become. The only path is to increase our power and establish deterrence.”
