US pretends global benevolent but attacks amid nuclear talks

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mostafa Rostami, the head of the Leader’s representative body in universities, made the remarks in an interview with IQNA conducted on the eve of the Student Day in Iran also known as the National Day against Global Arrogant Powers, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The occasion marks the anniversary of the takeover of the former US embassy in Tehran by students loyal to the founder of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini on November 4, 1979.

Following the takeover, the former US embassy in downtown Tehran was found to be a place for anti-Iran intelligence operations by US spies; hence, was dubbed as the Den of Espionage ever since.

He said,” The same enemy who martyrs our scientists and their families in Tehran and claims to be a pacifist who has the true nature of a warmonger.”

Hujjat-ul-Islam Mostafa Rostami pointed out importance of educating the younger generation in confronting threats and noted, "The most important missions of students and are to inform the younger generation about the nature of these hostilities.”

Emphasizing that it is not possible to achieve a powerful position in the international system without strengthening domestic capacities, he continued: "Any country that has tried to strengthen its internal sectors in the economic, social, national cohesion, cultural, military, and political spheres has been able to exert influence in the global arena."

Still in another part of his remarks, he expressed regret over loss of the students martyred during the 12-day Israeli-imposed war on Iran and said,” On this Student Day, we do not have with us the 86 students who were martyred in previous years and those slain at the hands of the Americans and the Zionist regime.”
