Turkish expert details:

“Gaza ceasefire plan, an updated version of Deal of the Century”

The director of Ahlul Bayt world unions in Turkey argues that the Israeli regime could not find a military solution to the issue and was forced to admit a diplomatic solution following two years of full war.
“Gaza ceasefire plan, an updated version of Deal of the Century”
Hasan Kanaatli, speaking with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) said that Trump's peace plan for the people of Gaza is a combination of “Zionist” demands to eliminate Palestinian resistance and taking control of the Gaza Strip; a plan that will result in nothing but the enslavement of the Palestinians and the end of the resistance.

He noted, “Trump's 20-point peace plan for Gaza, presented on September 29, 2025, at first glance includes positive measures such as the resumption of humanitarian aid, prisoner exchanges, and a cessation of hostilities.”

According to the Turkish thinker, the plan states that regional partners must ensure Palestinian groups' adherence to the agreement, while no commitment or guarantee is included for the behavior of the Israeli regime.

Stressing that the Gaza plan is more in favor of the Zionist regime, he said, "The Gaza ceasefire plan is actually an updated version of the 2020 deal of the century. This plan has key clauses that are full of ambiguity for the Palestinians. At the center of this plan is the disarmament of Hamas, which means weakening the resistance in Gaza."

The head of the Turkish Ahlul Bayt Union detailed the clauses of this plan saying, “In all cases, this plan prioritizes Israel's security, while the reconstruction of Gaza and the political rights of the Palestinians remain unclear."

Kanaatli stated,” Paragraphs 13 and 16 emphasize the disarmament of "Hamas" and "resistance groups," but the Israeli regime's withdrawal is accompanied by vague sentences and the condition of a "safe zone." This plan ignores the sovereignty of the people of Gaza, while the people of Gaza have faced serious structural damage, more than 90 percent of the population of this region has been displaced, and Gaza's infrastructure has been almost completely destroyed.”

He pointed out that America wants the resistance to fulfill its commitments by accepting this plan, but that the Zionist commitments will be postponed to a future that will never come.

The director of Ahlul Bayt Union noted that Israel has violated the ceasefire at least 80 times since its inception, killing hundreds of civilians, while Hamas has always adhered to the ceasefire plan.

He pointed to the naming of the so-called "Greater Israel" plan by Israeli officials and stated: "The presentation of this plan was met with a strong reaction from Arab and Islamic countries."

We saw that Islamic countries issued a joint statement and considered this prospect a threat to regional security and contrary to international law. However, the reactions remained at the diplomatic level and no practical measures such as economic or military sanctions have yet been taken by Islamic countries.

The head of the Turkish Ahlul Bayt Associations Union concluded by stating: "Most of these countries have refrained from intervention due to political and domestic considerations, economic dependencies, and relations with the West; but if Israel's regional pressures increase, more tangible measures may be on the agenda of these countries."
