Cleric: “Al-Aqsa Flood” Was a Decisive Response to 80 Years of Zionist Crimes
In an interview with Taghrib News Agency(TNA), Qasemi stated: “This proactive and intelligent operation not only had widespread heroic effects but also shattered the dreams, conspiracies, and plans of the enemy.”

He added that following the operation, the Zionist regime—with support from the U.S. and other Western countries—launched attacks on Gaza. However, he noted: “America’s history is built on bloodshed. They seek to expand power through fire and destruction. When the U.S. realized that Israel could not defeat the resistance, it halted the war. For two years, they tried everything to destroy Hamas, but failed. Hamas was not eliminated, forced displacement did not occur, and hostages were not freed by force. This marks the consolidation of a historic victory for the Al-Aqsa Flood and the failure of all enemy plans.”
Qasemi explained that Hamas accepted a conditional ceasefire to present an anti-war image to the world, while firmly rejecting disarmament and affirming its role in the future Palestinian government.
He stressed: “Hamas did not allow any non-Palestinian entity to take part in governing Gaza. Their acceptance of the ceasefire was a strategic move—not a full ‘yes,’ nor a complete ‘no,’ but a conditional agreement that threw the U.S. and Israel into political confusion.”
He continued: “Hamas demanded the formation of a government inclusive of all Palestinians, the opening of humanitarian corridors, the withdrawal of occupying forces from Gaza, and the exchange of prisoners. These demands, through divine grace and steadfast resistance, will be fulfilled.”
On domestic issues, Qasemi acknowledged that Iranian officials have the capacity to resolve the people’s economic challenges. He warned: “The enemy has targeted the livelihood of our people, exploiting legitimate public dissatisfaction with economic conditions to undermine national unity.”
He concluded: “God willing, through vigilance, unity, and strengthening our military capabilities—alongside easing the burden of essential goods—we can once again pave the way for a historic moment of dignity. This is our only true shield against the enemy.”
