In an interview with Taghrib News Agency(TNA), he stated: “How long must we maintain these divisions—one called Shia, another called Sunni—while the enemy exploits them? We must work sincerely and brotherly for the sake of God. If our efforts are truly for God, and we implement the unity commanded in the Qur’an and embodied in the mission of the prophets, the problems of the Islamic world will be resolved.”
Enayati stressed the importance of achieving a unified Ummah in the face of Islam’s enemies, lamenting that the oppressed people of Gaza continue to suffer under the boots of the Zionist occupiers of Al-Quds.
He called on the Islamic Ummah to prioritize unity more than ever before, urging practical solutions and their implementation. “True unity,” he said, “does not mean identical beliefs, but a unified body despite theological differences. Jurisprudential disagreements have always existed, but they must not obstruct the shared goals of Shia and Sunni Muslims in confronting their common enemies.”
Enayati warned that sworn enemies of Islam—namely the United States and international Zionism—have committed themselves to destroying the Islamic world and its spiritual center. He reiterated the need for an Islamic Union to overcome artificial boundaries and sectarian labels, emphasizing that sincere, God-centered cooperation is the key to healing the divisions within the Ummah.
He urged Muslims to move beyond political factions, sectarianism, and ethnic divisions, citing the recent 12-day war as proof that unity can defeat Zionist aggression and showcase the strength and dignity of Islamic nations to the world.
In conclusion, Enayati affirmed: “Supporting and preserving the Islamic identity is both a divine blessing and a sacred duty. God willing, the unity we witnessed during the twelve-day war will continue and grow stronger.”
