Iranian Cleric: Youth Awareness of Israeli Crimes Strengthens Islamic Unity

12 Sep 2025 - 10:30

Speaking during Unity Week and congratulating Muslims worldwide on the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birth anniversary, Khanbabayi urged the Ummah to set aside minor differences in the face of a common enemy, naming Israel and the United States as the principal adversaries of the Islamic world.

He warned that global powers seek to sow division among Muslim nations and called for a unified strategic plan, especially in West Asia, to counter such schemes.

Referring to what he described as victory in the recent 12-day war against Israel — achieved at the cost of prominent scientists, military commanders, and civilians — he said the conflict had revived the spirit of Islamic awakening and exposed the hostility of the U.S. and Israel toward Islam.
Khanbabayi noted that global opinion, including among non-Muslims, has shifted against Israel due to events in Gaza and Palestine, undermining efforts at “Islamophobia.” He expressed optimism about the future of Islamic unity, saying that if certain Muslim leaders “wake from their slumber,” even greater cohesion can be achieved.
He called on young Muslims to play an active role in global scientific and research institutions, recognizing that they stand at a historic turning point. With many now informed about the situation in Palestine through digital platforms, he said, this awareness itself is a driver of unity.
Khanbabayi concluded that the future belongs to the youth of the Islamic world, who will lead its progress toward what he termed a “new Islamic civilization,” with the current wave of awakening as its foundation.
