Australian Islamic Friendship Association Founder:

Ayatollah Khamenei's Leadership Transforms Iran into Regional Defense Network

Instead, it has become the linchpin of resistance against Israeli aggression and the passive policies of some Arab governments.
Ayatollah Khamenei
In an interview with Taghrib News Agency(TNA), Trad emphasized that Ayatollah Khamenei's leadership acts as a strategic deterrent, rooted in both military capability and ideological resolve.
"In his recent remarks, following Iran's launch of over 200 ballistic missiles in response to Israeli attacks, he stressed that Iran would not react hastily but would respond lawfully and legitimately," Trad stated. He added, "This firm, calculated stance, backed by regional alliances, has made Israel more cautious about any direct confrontation with Iran."

Unity of the Islamic World: A Sacred Duty
The Australian thinker further elaborated that the Leader's emphasis on the unity of the Islamic world, stretching from Afghanistan to Gaza, has bolstered this deterrent role. "This indicates that any attack on Iran could trigger a chain reaction from the Resistance Front, involving Hezbollah, Ansarullah, and Iraqi resistance groups. Consequently, his leadership has transformed Iran from an isolated target into the axis of a regional defense network, making any unilateral aggression highly costly."
While acknowledging the continued possibility of confrontation between Iran and the Israeli regime, Trad noted, "The Supreme Leader has repeatedly declared that the Zionist regime will not last long, and resistance will persist even after the martyrdom of its leaders. On the other hand, Israeli officials are also preparing for new conflicts, strengthening missile defense systems, and seeking preemptive strikes."
Trad clarified, "From the Leader's perspective, this confrontation is not merely a temporary skirmish but a long-term battle. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has also warned that any future aggression will be met with a response that will 'change the geography of the war.' Therefore, while diplomacy may create pauses, the ideological and strategic roots of this confrontation suggest it will continue in a cycle of retaliation and regional proxy conflicts."

Confronting the Enemy: A Sacred Obligation
Trad underscored Ayatollah Khamenei's view that confronting the Israeli regime is not merely a political battle but a religious and moral duty. He stressed that framing this confrontation as a religious and moral obligation has profoundly impacted the discourse of resistance within the Islamic world.
The founder of the Australian Islamic Friendship Association continued, "The Leader has repeatedly declared that Palestine is part of the body of Islam, and the war against Palestine is considered a war against the existence of Islam. This approach has elevated the confrontation beyond a geopolitical issue to a sacred duty."
He pointed out that the implications of this perspective include the mobilization of scholars, students, and youth across the region, legitimizing armed resistance as an act of worship and a path to martyrdom, and unifying diverse movements, from Sunni fighters in Gaza to Shiite forces in Iraq, under a common moral banner. Trad also stated that this outlook has challenged Islamic governments that have remained silent in the face of atrocities, deeming their inaction a form of religious betrayal.

Ayatollah Khamenei's Key Role in the Resistance Front Strategy
Trad asserted that Ayatollah Khamenei, as the spiritual and strategic leader of the Resistance Front, has played a crucial role in its cohesion and successes. His leadership has maintained ideological coherence among various groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, Ansarullah, and Hashd al-Shaabi, providing material support, operational coordination, and moral legitimacy for the resistance. Every victory, no matter how limited, has been presented as part of the divine path of resistance.
Trad added, "Ayatollah Khamenei, in his speech commemorating Basij Week, emphasized that the Resistance Front, despite its current expanse, will grow several times larger in the future. This vision has preserved the morale of resistance forces after heavy casualties and paved the way for the joining of new forces and allies."
The founder of the Australian Islamic Friendship Association concluded, "Recent retaliatory operations, such as the launch of 543 missiles in 'Operation True Promise III,' demonstrate the operational cohesion of this front. Although mainstream media censor these realities, their psychological impact on Israel's deterrent capability is undeniable."
