Pakistani scholar:

“Iran shattered the myth of Israeli invincibility”

Israel suffered a major political and moral defeat. Despite the loss of several of its own commanders, Iran maintained its structure, responded with precision, and left no doubt about its readiness. The contrast between Iran’s strength and Israel’s exposure could not be clearer.
“Iran shattered the myth of Israeli invincibility”
Seyed Kosar Abbas Mousavi, Pakistan cultural figure and Islamic scholar has hailed Iran’s retaliatory missile operation against the Israeli regime as a turning point in history of region.

In an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA), Dr. Seyed Kosar Abbas Mousavi, the manager of Erfan Publication in Karachi reflected on Iran’s recent military response to Israeli aggression, calling it “a decisive moment that shook the arrogant Zionism and uplifted the spirit of oppressed people across the world.

Mousavi emphasized that the initial act of aggression came from Israel, and Iran’s counterstrike was a rightful act of self-defense. “It wasn’t just a military response—it was the fulfillment of a long-standing hope among Muslims globally” and added,” Iran’s resolve brought a sense of relief to millions who have witnessed decades of Israeli oppression without responsibility.”

Discussing public sentiment in Pakistan, he described a wave of popular support for Iran. “From the general public to the political elite—everyone stood with Iran,” he said and continued, “Pakistan’s government institutions, including the Senate, National Assembly, and all provincial assemblies, passed unanimous resolutions in support of Iran. Even our Foreign Minister and UN Ambassador made it clear on the international platforms that Iran had every right to defend itself.”

The Pakistani scholar described the massive rallies held across Pakistani cities as a “clear message to both Iran and Israel and emphasized,” The Pakistani people will always stand with justice and with their Muslim brothers in Iran.”

However, he voiced deep disappointment in the broader Muslim world’s lack of unified support. “This was a historic opportunity for the Ummah to show strength. Instead, some so-called Muslim governments went so far as to intercept Iranian drones mid-air—siding with the aggressor. If they lacked the courage to support truth, they should have at least refrained from aiding falsehood.”

On the global stage, Dr. Mousavi argued the conflict has dramatically altered perceptions. “Iran proved it is no longer to be underestimated. For years, the West portrayed Iran as isolated and weakened by sanctions. But this retaliation rewrote the narrative. Now, both allies and enemies must reevaluate Iran’s strength and independence.”

When asked about the key outcomes of the war, he argued that Iran had gained far more than Israel. “Israel suffered a major political and moral defeat. Despite the loss of several of its own commanders, Iran maintained its structure, responded with precision, and left no doubt about its readiness. The contrast between Iran’s strength and Israel’s exposure could not be clearer.”

Regarding the cession of fire exchange, Mousavi remained skeptical. “History teaches us that whenever the U.S. or Israel begins to lose, they cry for a ceasefire. This time, it came only after Iranian missiles hit Israeli and American targets, including U.S. bases in Qatar. It’s a familiar tactic—push until resistance rises, then plead for peace.”

He warned that the so-called ceasefire could be a “deceptive pause,” urging Iran and the broader Muslim world to remain vigilant. “Israel is a permanent enemy of the oppressed. Any negligence on our part could come at a great cost.”

Dr. Seyed Kosar Abbas Mousavi, a scholar of Islamic Theology and Publications manager at Al-Erfan in Karachi, has been an influential voice in Islamic academia and resistance thought. His reflections shed light not only on the geopolitics of the region but also on the deeper ideological struggle between justice and oppression, unity and betrayal.
