Lebanese cleric calls for Islamic unity in face of US-Israeli project
The president of the International Union of Resistance Scholars, Sheikh Maher Hamoud, has highlighted the unifying of the unifying of the Islamic nation in confrontation with the American-Zionist project.

Maher Hamoud made the remarks in an interview with Iran Press warning that the United States has proven over the decades to be a real enemy of everything Islamic.
He assimilated “Zionism” as a cancerous tumor that can only be treated by its elimination, and that unity of Muslims, despite sectarian differences, is the only way to liberate Palestine and achieve victory.
In this interview conducted on the eve of the 36th passing anniversary of the late leader of Islamic Revolution, the Lebanese cleric also the thoughts of Imam Khomeini (RA) resonated in the steadfastness of the resistance axis amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
The prominent Lebanese cleric cited the Holy Quran and the history of the prophets, to present Imam Khomeini's theory as a comprehensive Islamic theory suitable for confronting colonialism and Zionism in this era.
He noted that Imam Khomeini (RA) did not present a traditional jurisprudential theory, but rather offered an advanced Quranic political theory based on the concepts of the prophets in confronting tyrants, which cannot be confined to a Sha, Sunni or Persian framework as some have tried to portray, but is an extension of the prophets' thought in calling their peoples to the truth despite denial and rejection.
He affirmed that Iran, through resistance and its victories, has tried to spread this theory by all possible means.
In his analysis of the current reality, Hamoud said, "We are living in a phase of hardship, adversity, and political and moral earthquakes, but this phase will pass, just as similar crises have passed in the history of messages."
He expressed confidence that Imam Khomeini's theory will prevail, as it is based on truth and the Holy Quran, emphasizing that "the victory of God is near."
Hamoud confirmed that Imam Khomeini's thought is in focus after the Israeli regime broke out war on Gaza and Lebanon, and after the martyrdom of the Lebanese resistance leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah (may his soul rest in peace), what is required is patience and readiness to resume the journey towards al-Quds.
