University Professor in an Interview with Taghrib:
Tehran Book Fair is a Golden Opportunity to Introduce Scientific Capacities for Unity
Hamid Shariati Niasar, on the sidelines of the 36th Tehran International Book Fair, told a Taghrib reporter that the significant presence of universities and scientific centers at this cultural event makes it an effective platform for strengthening unity and empathy among followers of Islamic sects.

Shariati Niasar continued: "These achievements show that the capacity of the Tehran International Book Fair can be utilized as a very suitable platform for enhancing unity and proximity."
He noted the enthusiastic presence of Sunni scholars at this event, stating: "At the booth of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, I witnessed the enthusiastic participation of Sunni professors and scholars who came with great eagerness to visit. This atmosphere provides a valuable opportunity to introduce capacities and create more interaction and synergy among followers of different sects."
The head of the Quran and Hadith Faculty at the Islamic Schools University added: "The Tehran International Book Fair is one of the best platforms for closer acquaintance among followers of different sects and for introducing their scientific and cultural capabilities. This fair is a golden opportunity for empathy and interaction among elites, professors, and scholars of various Islamic sects."
He further emphasized the necessity of utilizing the scientific capacities of universities in the international activities of the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, suggesting: "Another very important opportunity, which is indeed related to the atmosphere of the fair, is the International Conference on Islamic Unity, which is held within the framework of the missions of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought. Our proposal is that the International University of Islamic Schools can play the role of a scientific arm for this conference and utilize the capacities of its faculty members to enhance its scientific and international level."
Shariati Niasar concluded by emphasizing: "If the Islamic Unity Conference is held with the direct collaboration of the university and the involvement of faculty members, it can have a broader scientific and cultural impact at the international level and contribute to a more practical realization of unity in the Islamic world."
