The Friday prayer leader of Sunni community in Torbat-e Jam, in Iran’s Razavi Khorasan Province highlighted the role of unity and respect for sanctities in Islam.

Molavi Sharaf-Eddin Jami Ahmadi, made the remarks in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) conducted on the occasion of the Karamat Ten-Day ceremonies which marks the birth anniversary of the eighth Shia Imam and his sister.

He called the Karamat Ten-Day ceremony as an opportunity to boost convergence in the Islamic nation and highlighted importance of respect for religious sanctities.

The cleric said,” The duty of the Muslim communities, including Iran, is to prioritize solidarity in the world of Islam and foil hostile plots by revealing their esteem for religious beliefs.

Molavi Ahmadi reiterated that the strength of Islam and Islamic revolution lies in unity of Muslims and said,” The Islamic nation can stand on high peaks of success and honor once it boosts solidarity.”

He said,” The lifestyle of Ahlul Bayt (AS) is based on honor, respect and solidarity, as was the lifestyle of Imam Reza (AS) and his sister, Hazrat Masoumeh (SA).

The senior scholar concluded that all walks of life in Iran, people from different groups must follow the role model of these infallible Imams in maintaining their unity and respect among themselves.
