Akhoond Abdul Hayy Mirza Ali, the prayer leader of Sunni community in Aqqala County, Iran’s Golestan province, said in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) it is necessary that the Islamic nation breaks its silence on the ongoing crimes committed in the Gaza Strip, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The manager of the public libraries in Golestan Province urged for a practical measure by Islamic countries against the Israeli aggressions across the Gaza Strip and asserted,” Until when should the Muslim countries, populated with two billion people and rich with natural resources, stand only witness to the ongoing crimes in Gaza?”

“If the Islamic states were united to confront Zionist Israelis, then this catastrophe would have not befallen on the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza Strip” said Akhoond Mirza Ali.

He warned,” If the Israeli aggressions are not stopped, then the regime will not suffice to occupation of the Gaza Strip.”

The prominent Sunni cleric added,” If Islamic countries refrain from military support for the Palestinians, they should at least impose pressure Tel Aviv regime by severing their diplomatic and economic relations with it.”

He quoted the Prophet of Islam saying that he who ignores his fellow Muslim brother’s call for help is not a Muslim emphasizing necessity of helping the oppressed Palestinians in Gaza Strip.

According to the cleric, the crimes Israeli regime forces committed during the past 18 months have claimed lives of more than 50,000 Palestinians in the besieged strip.
