Ramadan, time for proximity of Muslim hearts

Iranian Sunni cleric hailed the holy month of Ramadan as a time for special proximity and convergence among Muslims.


Mamusta Mostafa Khatami, prayer leader of the Sunni community in Oshnavieh County, West Azerbaijan Province, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) related on the spiritual aspects of the holy month of Ramadan.
 
He referred to the special convergence built among all Islamic denominations throughout the year and said," Shia and Sunni Muslims know their religious mandate though they are different on some minor commands which are not truly counted as major issues."
 
Iranian cleric noted that Muslims from all denominations share the belief in the fasting month of Ramadan.
 
He said," Ramadan is a time when a special solidarity and convergence is built among all Muslims."
 
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar. Muslims observe the month with fasting, Qur'an recitation, prayer, doing charity work and having family Iftar meals.
