Imam Hussein (AS), role model of sacrifice and justice seeking for mankind
Deputy of Iran affairs at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought called Imam Hussein (AS) as a person beyond religion respected by different religions and schools of thought.

Mohsen Meschi, deputy of Iran affairs at major Islamic unity center in Iran in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) expressed his views on the webinar to be held discussing Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as a person who set example for entire humanity.
He said the webinar is held in line with all other events which aim to highlight the commonalities of Islamic denominations.
He added,” Imam Hussein (AS) is a character belonging to all Islamic denominations and all sacred religions. He was a character beyond religions and denominations who was studied and respected by all schools of thought.”
He noted, “During the 14 centuries since the life of Imam Hussein (AS), several elites and followers of different schools of thought across the globe have written thousands of books on the high character and lifestyle of the third Shia Imam.”
Mohsen Meschi said,” Among the objectives of this webinar are: explaining the status of Imam Hussein (AS) among Sunnis, boosting convergence, compassion and unity between Shia and Sunni, expansion of the culture and movement by Imam Hussein (AS).”
The axis for the webinar to be held on Wednesday include: Imam Hussein (AS) in view of Sunni scholars, Imam Hussein (AS) in view of the elites from different denominations, ethical virtues of Imam Hussein (AS), Imam Hussein (AS) as axis of Islamic unity, justice seeking as axis of Islamic unity, justice seeking and counter oppression campaign of Imam Hussein (AS) and also role of lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in Imam Hussein uprising.
Eleven Shia and Sunni thinkers will deliver speech in the webinar on “Imam Hussein (AS), Role Model of Justice seeking, Sacrifice and Unity” which is scheduled to be held by Women’s deputy at World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought on Wednesday August 8th.
