Hazrat Abbas shrine intensifies preparations to welcome Arbaeen pilgrims (photo)

Staff and volunteers at the holy shrine of Imam Abbas (AS) have launched a round-the-clock operation to prepare the shrine complex for the arrival of millions of pilgrims expected to attend the annual Arbaeen pilgrimage. The comprehensive plan includes cleaning and maintaining the shrine's courtyards and halls, carpeting key pedestrian routes, and perfuming the holy site to provide a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. As part of the preparations, more than 20,000 copies of pilgrimage guidebooks and prayer booklets are being distributed to worshippers. The extensive efforts are part of the shrine's annual hospitality program aimed at ensuring a safe, clean, and spiritually uplifting environment for pilgrims traveling to Karbala to commemorate the 40th day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
