Located in the Iraqi city of Karbala, the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is decorated with flowers as part of preparations to celebrate the Islamic occasions during the Islamic lunar month of Rajab. Among these occasions are the birth anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) and his half-brother Abbas ibn Ali, Imam Sajjad (AS) and Imam Mahdi (AS), the fourth and 12th Shia Imams.
