In video posted on X, multiple police officers can be seen surrounding a woman in Muslim clothing, forcing her to the ground, and holding her down. The woman shouts and says: “What is this? What are you doing?”
Thousands of protesters gathered in central Russell Square for the 11th national march in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, where nearly 33,000 people have been killed by Israeli attacks since Oct. 7.
“The occupation state makes use of its fierce hostility towards our people in the Gaza Strip by carrying out massive confiscation operations of Palestinian land, affecting 27,000 decares of Palestinian territories,” Moayya Sha’ban, head of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC), said in a statement marking Palestine’s Land Day.
Following discussions held today in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to address the Palestinian issue and the situation in Gaza, the ministers expressed grave concerns over the devastating humanitarian repercussions, including famine and the collapse of the healthcare system in the Gaza Strip.
Thousands participated in protests organized in the German capital Berlin, the British capital London, the French capital Paris, the Danish city of Aarhus and the capital Copenhagen, the Italian city of Milan, and Helsingborg in Sweden, in support of the Palestinian people and demanding the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
The sources reported that Israeli occupation forces fired shells and opened fire towards dozens of civilians who were waiting for aid trucks at the Kuwait roundabout. The attack resulted in the murder of 12 civilians and the injury of at least 30 others.
“We are very pleased and sad about the outcome of the case at ICJ. Sad because it just confirms that what the International Court of Justice had ruled before was not heeded by Israel and we needed to go back and argue another case, particularly with concern that there may be attacks on Rafah,” Ramaphosa told reporters.
Local health authorities confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 7 has risen to 32,705 reported fatalities, with an additional 75,190 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.
"Around 9,000 patients urgently need to be evacuated abroad for lifesaving health services, including treatment for cancer, injuries from bombardments, kidneys dialysis and other chronic conditions," he said in a tweet.
Sheikh Azzam al-Khatib, the director-general of the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem, told Anadolu that the number is considered lower than usual for this time of Ramadan, as the number was estimated to be around 250,000 on the same day last year.
