8th ICM Summit underway in Tehran

The 8th Islamic capital market summit opened on Tuesday in Tehran, attended by the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Organization, Mohammad Fetanat. Top financial executives and a number of foreign experts were present at the event to get familiar with the latest achievements of the Islamic capital markets. Sukuk or Islamic bonds are among the most significant instruments used in Islamic equity and bond markets. Iran’s financial regulator has paid a special attention to the instrument in the past few years, with officials hoping that multinational investors may opt to purchase the bonds as the first step they would take in the Iranian market.
