Sadeh which is one of the oldest Iranian rituals was held on 30 January at Bodagh Abad Garden in Kerman
Sadeh is the ritual of expressing gratitude for all the good things in life. A great fire is set up as a gesture to drive away the cold of winter. Once upon a time it was called the day of Mehr (Love).
In some of old text it is said that Iranians celebrated Sadeh 100 days after the beginning of the great winter as according to ancient Iranian calendar, winter was 150 days, while summer was 210 days.
Sadeh has been registered on the national list of spiritual inheritances.
