Ayatollah Araki demands for foiling anti-Iran sanctions

Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, stressed Iran's persistence to defeat all sanctions and calling the authorities to foil sanctions using domestic capabilities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said," During the eight years of the imposed war against Iran, our nation provided determination and security to the future generation with the least facilities available."

Top cleric in this interview noted," As an Islamic nation, we have been under sanctions for 14 centuries." and warned against the enemies who struggle to hurt Islam and the Islamic Revolution through sanctions.

Head of the Iranian unity center referred to the beginning of the economic pressures against the nation in the early stages after the victory of the Islamic Revolution noting," It was due to the perseverance of our nation that they achieved victory and honor."

Ayatollah Araki also referred to the economic sanctions in the recent years and stressed," Islamic Republic of Iran is not the mere target of these boycotts, rather all Islamic nations are aimed to be hurt by the economic pressures by western countries."

Senior cleric stated," Anti-Iran sanctions can be an opportunity for the nation to make the best of the imposed pressures and achieve economic independence."

He urged Iranian authorities to be committed to Islamic principles, objectives of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in a bid to successfully pass through the sanctions.
