UN representative in Iraq condemned the recent attack against Imam Mousa Kadhim (AS) University in north Baghdad calling the act as a coward and vicious measure against the civilians.

Nikolay Mladinov, representative of the United Nations in Iraq slammed the terror attack against the Imam Mousa Kadhim (AS) University stressing that the measure aimed at sparking sectarian strife, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Mladinov reiterated that the attack is another example of the violence which aims at increasing tribal issues on the eve of the elections in the county.

He called Iraqi people to confront similar measures calling that a coward and vicious terror attack against the civilians.

A suicide bombing at Imam Mousa Kadhim (AS) University in north Baghdad killed at least 14 people on Sunday.

The attack killed at least five people and wounded at least 13, officials said.
