Chancellor of Al-Mustafa International University referred to the spread of sectarian and religious disputes as the main calamity in the Muslim world today.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the gathering of the university’s directors and officials in Qom, Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Reza Arafi added that the enemies of Islam try to spread Takfiri ideology and disputes among Muslims.

He said if it had not been for the enemies’ attempts to foment disunity among Muslims, the situation in the Muslim world would have been different today.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Hojat-ol-Islam Arafi referred to the status of Al-Mustafa International University, saying it has two main objectives, namely promoting the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) in the world and enhancing the spirit of unity in the Islamic Ummah.

The gathering of Al-Mustafa International University will be underway in Qom for three days.
Al-Mustafa University is a religious institution that aims to train devoted Muslim scholars.

It has international branches in different countries as well as affiliate schools such as Islamic College of London, Indonesia Islamic college and Ghana Islamic College.
