Saddam attack Iran when its Revolution aged 19 months and the Islamic Republic was only 17 months.
France backed the aggressive regime during the 8 year span of war, offering various modern weapons to Iraq during Mitterrand's presidency. Since it could not sell war plane to Iraq, without any precedent, rented instead its Super Standard airplanes.
Saddam used chemical weapons in Halabja and meanwhile its ever advocate, France avoided Security Council to release a statement in denouncing the measure and using such weapons; and what Security Council only conceded was the point that Chemical weapons were used in the war against Iraqi and Iranian civilians.
Since 1980 up to 55 days war in 2014; France has sided with Israel, throwing its weight behind all of the regimes’ wars against innocent people of Lebanon and Gaza; France defended the cruel side and fully backed the entire catalogue of crimes perpetrated by the regime of Israel during these 35 years and in doing so, resorted the pretext of protecting itself and the regime of Israel.
It should be taken into account that the country was after questioning and casting doubt on the legitimacy of opposite sides of Israel besides.
France has pursued the typical role, it had played during these 35 years, since Saudi Arabia started its military aggression against Yemen on March 26.
Thereafter Saudi invasion on Yemen, Lauzon Fabius travelled to Riyadh and practically unveiled the full and unconditional support of Paris from Saudi Regime. The same story happed in Saddam attack to Iran and Israel raid on Lebanon and Gaza.
Given that, the leverage of France foreign policy in Middle East is siding with aggressors, selling weapons and providing fertile grounds for them.
France has a military basis in United Arab Emirates and can be counted as the major seller of weapons to countries like United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. So it is beyond a reasonable doubt that present policy of France is divorced from Iran nuclear programs, nuclear talks or any similar cases.
France over the last 35 years was deemed as a pariah which followed the US and Israel policy; such stance can be regarded by nature as a part of French Foreign Policy’s DNA.
In 35 last years, France has had nothing to do with human right, peace, achievement, democracy or any other similar claims. But the silver question is why Fransua Oland traveled to Riyadh?
1. Although the France Foreign Minister traveled to Riyadh so as to legitimize Saudi raid on Yemen, but it would on the face of it seem that the measures and steps taken by the country did not suffice and in the wake of that, Oland stepped up and made a move himself.
Legitimizing Saudi Aggression means questioning the legitimacy of resistance in Yemen which in turn lays the ground for surrounding the country and in such turmoil, instead of castigating the aggressor, the victims should be punished.
2) Saudi Arabia enjoys European- and American-made weapons. Saudi Arabia used and uses cluster bombs against Yemeni people, and such policy has been approved by the US; along with America, Oland himself guarantess providing Saudi Arabia with weapons.
3) Over the last 35 years, it has been proven beyond a shadow of doubt that France is against free, prosperous and autonomous Islamic countries. Given that, the country will back Saudi Arabia due to the same intention and stance it had in Saddam and Israel imposed wars. So to wrap it up what France wants is Muslims being lagged behind and debilitated.
