Trump’s plan ridicules international law, threats interfaith unity
Message issued by Sweden’s Imam Ali (AS) Islamic Center has slammed the provocative move by US President Donald Trump to relocate US embassy in Jerusalem al-Quds, recognizing the holy city as the capital of Israel, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Statement by the Islamic center of Stockholm runs,” Jerusalem, home to al-Quds Mosque and first Qibla for Muslims (praying direction in Islam), is sacred to monotheistic religions Islam, Christianity and Judaism and an inseparable part of Palestine which is particularly esteemed for Muslims and other Abrahamic religions.”

Another part of the message says,” The undigested provocative decision by Donald Trump to recognize al-Quds as the capital of Zionist regime, a clear ridicule of human values and international laws, has raised the religious conscious of liberal thoughts of Muslim, Christian and Jewish people across the globe.”

Prominent Islamic center in Stockholm added,” This center, with regards to the fact that al-Quds based on the United Nations resolutions is considered an occupied land, and the decision is a clear violation of international resolutions, denounces the move by Washington and urges all international bodies and influential governments, particularly Islamic countries, to prevent execution of the decision in order to safeguard the stability of the region.”

According to the statement the decision is counted a serious threat against peace in the Middle East, unity among religions and it seems that unconsidered measures which threat the multicultural identity and historical stance of al-Quds should be avoided so that the present controversies are settled by international laws and dominance of the United Nations over the issue.

Imam Ali (AS) Islamic center has also called Swedish government to support the Palestinian nation and contribute to put an end to the dispute.
