Iran’s Nat’l Quran contest for students to go Int’l

Iran’s Quran competition for school students, which is annually held for students from all over the country, is planned to be held internationally.

This is according to Mohammad Reza Mosayyebzadeh, the director general of Iranian Education Ministry’s Quran, Etrat and Prayers Department, who added that it will go international in the next two years.  
 
He made the remarks on Saturday at the closing ceremony of the 33rd national Quran competition for school students in the southern city of Shiraz.

Mosayyebzadeh lauded Shiraz for hosting the competition well and noted that next year’s edition of the contest will be hosted by the western city of Hamedan, IRNA reported.

Winners of the top five titles in different categories of the competition were awarded at the closing ceremony.

2300 school students from all provinces of the country competed in different categories of the Quranic event for 8 days.

They had made it to the final round after winning the top titles in the preliminary stages.
The categories of this edition included Quran recitation, memorization, interpretation as well as Nahjul-Balaqa, Sahifeh Sajjadiye and prayers.
