Leader of Islamic movement in Egypt warned against expansion of extremism in the world of Islam stressing spread of Islamic proximity among people and informing Muslim community as solutions against the issue.

Kamal al-Halbavi, prominent Egyptian thinker in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) hailed conferences related to the world of Islam and called for serious focus of the gatherings on Islamic proximity, unity, distancing prejudice and also confrontation with intrigues.
 
He said,” Power of the Muslim nations lies in their unity; hence, this should be defined for world Muslims.”
 
Egyptian elite referred to extremism in the world of Islam and called Shia and Sunni scholars to define principle terms including Islamic fraternity, Islamic Awakening, unified Islamic nation and Islamic proximity in a bid to save Muslims from ignorance and lack of knowledge.
 
He added,” Religious intrigues, epidemic at present is a symptom of prejudice and extremism which has been injected into our society by colonial agents since long in a bid to weaken the bases of Islamic nation and also benefit the enemies.”
 
Kamal al-Halbavi, referred to the history of Islamic proximity in the world of Islam and noted,” Egypt and al-Azhar may be called as pioneers of Islamic proximity, at present the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought is carrying the burden” expressing best hopes for the center.
