Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, prominent al-Quds mufti, in his speech in the al-Quds Mosque calling the vows to relocate US embassy to Jerusalem not only a disrespect to the Palestinian nation but also an offense against the Arabs and Muslims which will not be reacted with silence, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” The relocation of the US embassy is against international charters which will maintain al Quds as an occupied city.”

Earlier in January, senior Fatah member, Mohammad Ashtiyah, called Muslim and Christians across the Middle East to a wide rally voicing their opposition with Donald Trump plan for moving US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Palestinian authorities have been informed, through diplomatic ties, a possible announcement of the proposal by US President-elect Donald Trump in his January 20th speech.

This is while US Democratic representatives are signing a letter to Donald Trump demanding immediate move of the US embassy to al-Quds after his inauguration.

Early in December 2016, President Barack Obama had issued the statement to maintain US embassy in Tel Aviv, contrary to pressure imposed by the Congress and Israel.
