“Hajj, best manifest of Islamic solidarity”, Sunni cleric
Senior Sunni cleric in Iran’s Golestan Province counted the different aspects of Hajj pilgrimage and noted the annual Islamic ceremony as the best manifest for solidarity and convergence of Muslims.

Akhoond Abdul Rahman Paqqeh, professor at Ahmadiyeh Sunni Seminary in Aqqala, Northern Province of Golestan, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) hailed Hajj Pilgrimage as one of the most outstanding symbols for unity of Muslims.
According to the Iranian Sunni cleric, Tawaf (Islamic ritual of circumambulation of Kaba during Hajj) leads Muslims to deeply feel their social responsibility, knowing Muslims from other countries and exchange of views in the greatest Islamic demonstration.
Prayer leader of Qezeli village in Aqqala stressed that building mutual understanding and boosting fraternal ties is a social aspect of Hajj and noted,” Hajj is a symbol for Islamic solidarity, charity and cooperation among Muslims; therefore, the idea of Islamic unity should be stabilized in Hajj pilgrimage.”
He added,” Hajj pilgrims from all nationalities, denominations, ethnical or language background convene in an annual congregation and form a massive gathering which has no other example in the whole world.”
Akhoond Abdul Rahman Paqqeh reiterated that the close ties between Muslims and boosting the morale of fraternity reach their culmination during Hajj pilgrimage.
Sunni scholar from Golestan Province stressed that the solidarity and cooperation between Muslims lead to arraying solid lines against enemies and noted,” Islamic solidarity is an objective, an original Islamic motto, a practical mission and also a historical necessity.”
“Islamic solidarity is an effective factor in boosting collective cultural and political identity of Muslims” he said and added, ”It paves the ground for determination of Islamic nation against dividing intrigues by arrogant powers and international Zionism.”
According to Akhoond Peqqeh Islamic solidarity amid the current critical situation across the globe is a number one priority for the world of Islam.
