Ayatollah Araki:

Takfiri thoughts on the edge of isolation

Prominent Iranian cleric noted that the Takfiri thoughts are on the verge of isolation while a new wave of unity has begun in the world.
Takfiri thoughts on the edge of isolation
Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in a televised interview on "Muslim World Unity, Challenges and Solutions" said the present Takfiri movement is a move to rise Muslims against each other and vowed for near isolation of these groups, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said," What is threatening Muslim world as Takfir is the same threat which had previously been warned against by the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) where the prophet had banned Muslims to excommunicate each other."

The cleric warned that the present Takfiri movement aims at creating bloodshed and uprising in the world of Islam to provoke Muslims against each other; therefore, Muslims should unite against the issue.

Secretary general of the World Forum for Islamic Schools of Thought referred to domestic and foreign origins behind Takfir where outside players as the foreign origin have made the best of petrified and ignorant thoughts as the domestic reason to launch the terrorist Takfiri groups.

Top cleric said," Had the Islamic Awakening and anti-colonial movement which had been formed in the world of Islam continued, it could have led to formation of a unified Islamic nation which would be able to get rid of colonial dominance."

Ayatollah Araki also referred to activities of the World Forum against American and Zionist threats partly performed during over 100 major conferences for Muslim nations during the past four years stressing that an output for the great effort has been an anti-Takfir campaign across the globe which has isolated Takfiri thoughts and formed a wave of Islamic unity across the globe.

He noted that 30th International Islamic Unity Conference is due to be held in Tehran and representatives from nearly 100 countries including Egypt, Iraq, Indonesia and Malaysia are expected to attend the event.
