Islamic unity, most important mission for Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)

Haj Ghaffor Akhound Yazdani, Sunni prayer leader of Raz and Jargalan County, in Northern Khorasan Province, in his Friday sermon said creating unity among people was the most important objective of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) ; therefore, Shia and Sunni scholars have to struggle for spreading solidarity among Muslims and unifying them against world arrogant powers, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the dispersion among the tribes when Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was appointed as the prophet of Islam and said even the fighting tribes came to unify in the light of Qur'anic verses.

"Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) belongs to Shia, Sunni, white and black, Arab and non-Arab Muslims, rich and poor and the whole humanity." said the cleric and added," All Islamic denominations say their prayers towards one Qibla (praying direction of Muslims) so why should not they all unify when they share all these commonalities?"

Akhound Yazdani called Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as the greatest figure in the history of Islam and a perfect example for humanity.

Iranian Sunni cleric highlighted Islamic solidarity as a duty for Islamic community and noted," When enemies are targeting the roots of Islam, then maintaining unity is one of the most important duties for all Muslims."

Akhound Yazdani said," If Islamic unity is so much stressed at present, it is due to the struggles of the enemies for dispersing Muslim communities."
