“Islamic, Christianity activists should highlight commonalities.”

Top Christian cleric warned against threats against all religions demanding Muslim and Christian activists to stress their various commonalities.

Sebo Sarkissian, archbishop of Iran’s Armenian community, attended the meeting of academic board at Imam Khomeini (RA) educational complex, praised history of Islam-Christianity interfaith dialogue and noted that to highlight the various commonalities of both religions, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
“We are faced by challenges which have never been handled by anyone before.” said the cleric addressing Muslim activists and added,” These challenges are quite critical threats for all religions and our mission is to know the numerous commonalities of our faiths and then spare no endeavor to guide the youths from moral distractions.”
 
Armenian scholar warned against the demoralization process underway in all societies and said,” We have to struggle to guide the younger generation from distractions; hence, interfaith dialogue is an inevitable demand between our communities.”
 
He added,” There are several moral principles in Islam and Christianity which are not studied by followers of these religions.” Stressing dialogue between religions as a strategy to grow affection and change the views for a more transcended one.
 
Sibo Sarkissian concluded,” Affection rises from the depth of our hearts and this blessing is born as followers of Islam and Christianity approach to know each other. This is the way that respect for each other is formed and a religious community- without any prejudiced view- is formed.”
