Zarif: Enemies’ terrorist acts aimed at defaming Islam

Enemies of Islam report to such terrorist acts as invading a school in Peshawar, Pakistan, to defame Islam, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a phone talk with national security advisor of Pakistani prime minister on Friday night.

n his phone talk with Sartaj Aziz, Zarif seriously condemned the Peshawar terrorist act that claimed 100 lives of very young Pakistani cadets and injured many more and sympathized with their bereaved family members, the Pakistani nation and government.

“Although getting killed of innocent individuals has always been painful, but massacring the teenaged people who could be the constructors of a country’s future is doubly sorrow inspiring,” added Zarif.

The Iranian top diplomat said that Tehran, in accordance with its fundamental strategic policy, condemns all acts of terrorism and keeping in mind the two countries’ amicable ties and brotherly relations with Pakistani brethren and nation, most strongly expresses disapproval of the Peshawar incidence.

“I personally, and on behalf of the Iranian government and nation, sympathize with the Pakistani government and nation and announce our readiness to participate in curing the wounded victims of the sad incidence and for offering any other needed contribution,” added Zarif.

Sartaj Aziz, too, for his part appreciated the Iranian nation and government for their expressed sympathy on the occasion.

“Bilateral and regional cooperation is the most effective way for encountering and uprooting the terrorist and extremist groups,” added the top Pakistani diplomat.
