'Iran has slammed terrorism since day one': cleric

"'Iran has slammed terrorism since day on," pointed out the Head of Iranian Foundation in charge of War Veterans and Martyrs said Iran was the biggest victim of terrorism.

"Iran has slammed terrorism since day on," pointed out the Head of Iranian Foundation in charge of War Veterans and Martyrs stressing Iran was itself the biggest victim of terrorism and vandalism, Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

In his newly released message to mark the Day to Fight Terrorism, the religious cleric underlined Iran always condemned terrorism and was determined to fight it.

Part of the message goes, "the world is now scared of the dirty acts of terrorists and is losing security while Iran kept suffering from the devil terrorists for many years in the past."

According to the Head of Iranian Foundation in charge of War Veterans and Martyrs, Islamic Republic of Iran Iran is a victim of terrorism, and will spare no effort to ensure the security of its people.

They say time is a healer. But not for the Iranian nation who lost some of their best elite revolutionaries, politicians and officials during the early years of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

After the victory of Islamic Revolution, the US and its allies made every effort to destabilize the newly-born Iran. They backed the MKO, which had explicitly stated that it would take arms against the Islamic Republic and would fight until the subversion of Iran's government.

Covert and overt operations against Iran are designed to destabilize Iran by any means possible, including sponsoring other terrorist groups such as the Free Life Party of Kurdistan or the PJAK and the Jundollah.

These infamous groups have also carried out many terrorist attacks against Iranian officials and civilians in places such as Kurdistan, Ahvaz, Shiraz, Tehran and Zahedan.
