Abdullah Ansari, researcher and professor of Allameh Tabatabaee University in Tehran, has published his most recent book “Repudiation of Qur’an” in five sections analyzing the views of religion thinkers and researchers from across the globe, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

23 chapters of the book are in five sections headed “Revelation and the Modern Narration of Revelation”, “Revelation in View of Islamic Thinkers”, “Intellectuals and Analysis of revelation”, “Image of Revelation in Qur’an”, “From Experience and Prophetic Reading of Qur’an to illusionary Nature of Revelation” .

Part of the Foreword in this book runs,” Revelation is one of the most fundamental teachings of holy religions. Yet it is more important in Islam since this is the religion with an undistorted holy text. Islamic thinkers, during history, have tried to analyze the holy Qur’an and they have carried out the mission from different views.”

The first section of this book highlights the role of prophets and that if they were merely as a means to receive revelations and declaring the messages of God Almighty to the people or they played a more important role as a producer of the messages.”

The second section of the book, “Revelation in View of Islamic Thinkers”, analyzes the topic of revelation in view of great Iranian poet Jalal ad-Din Mohammad Balkhi (1207-1273) since the great Iranian mystic and poet said, the words of prophet were the words of God Almighty, a receiver and an announcer of words by God.”

The third section of this book relates on the view of different Islamic thinkers on God, relation of man with God Almighty and receiving the message of God.

Based on the forth section of the book “Repudiation of Qur’an” explains the different meanings of revelation in Qur’an referring to God Almighty as the origin and the first source of the revelations.”

The author concludes the book, in chapter five, with Fiq’h experience, prophetical reading of the world or denial of revelations and also Qur’an as a dialogue and not a text.
