Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of the French capital Paris on Saturday, demanding that Western governments take immediate action to liberate the besieged Syrian town.

The demonstrators also hailed the Kurdish fighters’ resistance against the Takfiri ISIL militants.

Members of the French Kurdish community have gathered and held demonstrations every Saturday since fighting broke out between Kurds and ISIL terrorists in Kobani.

Berivan Akyol, a leader of the Union of Kurdish Organizations in France, told reporters, "As long as Kobani is not liberated, as long as Kurdish territory and the people there are not secured, we will continue (to protest)."

"Kurds never received arms. There were bombings, but arms were not delivered. Kurds need heavy weaponry in order to defend themselves. And that is what we demand," she added.

“I think that states and governments, especially Western states, should mobilize immediately and really stop Daesh (ISIL’s Arabic acronym) and barbarian groups, otherwise the whole of humanity will be in danger," said Hasene Ait Ouqaci, a member of Algerian community supporting Kurds in France.

In a similar move, a group of Turkish people staged a protest rally in the city of Istanbul to voice their support for the Kurdish forces fighting against the ISIL terrorists in Kobani.

The protesters also called on the Turkish government to allow the delivery of aid to the Kurdish fighters defending the crisis-torn Syrian town.

Kobani and its surroundings have been under attack since mid-September, with the ISIL militants capturing dozens of nearby Kurdish villages.

The ISIL advance in the region has forced tens of thousands of Syrian Kurds to flee into Turkey, which is a stone’s throw from Kobani.

Turkey continues to block any delivery of military, medical or humanitarian assistance into Kobani, where the ISIL terrorists are feared to be aiming at massive bloodletting.

Analysts say Ankara, having already won the US green light, plans to let the terrorists seize the Kurdish town of Kobani before sending tanks and troops to fight them in a bid to capture and possibly annex the Syrian territory.

Meanwhile, Press TV has learned that Washington has moved its base from Jordan to Turkey to train radical extremists who are fighting the Syrian government.
