According to Hawzah, speaking in 'Cheshmeh Marefat' (Source of knowledge) program for Iranian TV, the source of emulation continued:

If one wishes to follow Imam Ali's (PBUH) footsteps he or she must have pure intentions in their actions.

Urging the society to avoid holding sumptuous banquets and ceremonies he added, "Why in some ceremonies hosts offer more than ten different food dishes whereas they must give out any food other than the main meal to the needy, homeless or prisoners?

Expressing that it's easy for one to verbally claim to be a Shia Muslim and follower of Imam Ali (PBUH), he remarked," It is difficult to follow Imam Ali's footsteps and what matters is the true realization of Shia principles."
