'Preserving unity, precursor of making headway'

Hujjat ul-Islam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini received the attendees of the 31st edition of the International Islamic unity conference.

The grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Seyyed Hassan Khomeini received the attendees of the 31st edition of the International Islamic unity conference hailing the achievements made by resistance front in Syria and Iraq against Takfiri terrorist, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

In the meeting, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki congratulated Hujjat ul-Islam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini on the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Sadeq (PBUH) placing stress on the prime importance of unity and the  necessity of braving Muslims' problems.

Aytaollah Araki beckoned to the holy book of Quran noting,” according to Quranic verses preserving unity is the precursor of making headway in various areas."

Hujjat ul-Islam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, for his part, hailed the attempts made by Ayatollah Mohsen Araki and Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought in the realm of unity.

The religious cleric lauded prominent Muslim scholars and thinkers who had gathered across the globe to discuss ways to promote unity and face the threats posed by the Takfiri thoughts and groups.

The 31st edition of the International Islamic Unity Conference begins in the Iranian capital, Tehran, with 520 dignitaries, ministers, scholars, university professors, and representatives from scientific as well as cultural associations in attendance.
 
The World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought mounts unity conference during Unity Week so as to promote bonds of fraternity among Muslim nations, providing them with a proper ground to exchange thier views to brave the standing setbacks in the World of Islam.

The three-day summit inaugurated on Tuesday with a speech by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
