Senior Iranian cleric stressed Islamic proximity as a prerequisite to unity of all Muslims which has been a major objective of the 1978 revolution in Iran.

Grand Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, secretary general of the Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Forum, attended the presser for the 26th anniversary of the center in its headquarter and detailed the aims behind Islamic Revolution with prevalence of Islamic unity as a main objective behind it, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Akhtari hailed the uprising of late Imam Khomeini (RA) to be different from all other political moves in the world praising Iranian nation for their support of the movement in the annual rallies held for the anniversary of the event.
 
The cleric referred to cultural and social activities, organizing and cooperation of the Shia community across the globe in order to spread teachings of Islam in the world as an objective of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Forum.
 
“Boosting unity among Muslims is another important aim for us and this unity is accessible with strengthening proximity among different denominations” said the scholar stressing that as one of the biggest targets of the Islamic Revolution which has been pursued by late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic republic, Ayatollah Khamenei.
 
Iranian senior cleric referred to promotion of culture among followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), and defending the oppressed particularly Muslims and followers of Ahlul Bayt (AS).
 
He also touched upon crimes by Zionist and western-backed Al Saud and said,” We are in the fifth year of the occupation and crisis in Bahrain and the oppressions imposed by Al Kalifa against the people, universities, seminaries and prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Isa Qassim.”
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Akhtari expressed regret over crimes committed across the world of Islam and said,” Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Forum is obliged to take stance against crimes committed in Myanmar, Iraq, Syria and other Muslim countries in order to mobilize international bodies to defend the oppressed by issuing messages, rallies and petitions.”
