"Violence stem from distance of society from Ahlul-Bayt school": top cleric
During his Quranic Exegesis class, Grand Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi-Amoli explained that sorrow and happiness for the Ahlul-Bayt can build society and civilize society. “A society where the people cry and lament is a loving and open-hearted society,” His Eminence stated.

Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli explained that a loving society is considered a link between the people and the Ahlul-Bayt. A society which mourns and laments and gathers to hear the tragedy of Karbala is a sympathetic society and are not a criminal, lying and seditious society. A loving society is non-violent society and benefits from gatherings of mourning, reported Rasa News.

The renowned source of emulation stated that some of the narrations refer to one of the benefits of the tragedy of Karbala is that it makes society more loving. One the other hand, on the birth anniversaries of the Imams and religious festivals, we become happy. This also makes society more loving. “Violence and killing are due to society distancing itself from the school of the Ahlul-Bayt,” His Eminence stated.

Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli also explained that if love, happiness and joy were present in society, there would not be violence in society. “Mourning for the Ahlul-Bayt on the tragedies which befell them and being happy on their birth anniversaries guides humanity. What effect does grieving for the sorrows of the Ahlul-Bayt have? They build society, they build a civilization and violence will have no effect but love, happiness and joy will.”
