Wahhabism, apparently out of Islam

Ayatollah Araki stressed Wahhabism has certainly gone out of Islam and turned into a means for dispersion among Islamic denominations.
Wahhabism, apparently out of Islam
Grand Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in an interview with Iran’s Al Alam channel hailed achievements of the unity center warning against Wahhabism going out of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said the first achievement of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought is expansion of proximity approach which was begun by the late founder of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.

The cleric noted that the present era is the time for withdrawal of intriguing dialogues and rising of proximity discourses.

Ayatollah Araki referred to spread of rumors on denomination of Ahlul Bayt (AS), household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) saying,” The source for these illusions is Wahhabism and not Al Azhar or other Islamic universities, particularly when Al Azhar grand scholars have stressed that Muslims can follow the principles of Jafaria Shia similar to those by four Sunni denominations.”

Secretary General of the World Forum referred to Ahlul Bayt (AS) as a guarantee for resolving disagreements and as an axis for the Islamic nation.

Ayatollah Araki in another part of this interview stressed that Muslims from all denominations owe to the sacrifice made by Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and added,” Had it not been for the uprising of Imam Hussein (AS), lifestyle of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and holy Qur’an would have been ruined.”
