Iran’s Awqaf Organization Chief Meets with Iraqi PM
Head of Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Mohammadi met with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in Baghdad.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi in this meeting referred to Waqf (endowment) as a field where the two countries can develop cooperation in order to promote bilateral ties, al-Sumaria news reported.
He also highlighted the two nations’ devotion to the Holy Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) and called for enhancing the unity and solidarity between the two countries.
Al-Abadi, for his part, underlined the expansion of ties between Iran and Iraq in the field of Waqf.
He described Iran-Iraq relations as strategic and called for the development of bilateral ties.
Elsewhere in his remarks, al-Abadi thanked the Islamic Republic for standing by the Iraqi nation and government in the fight against ISIL Takfiri terrorists.
Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi arrived in Baghdad Sunday on an official visit for talks with Iraqi political and religious officials and figures.
