Hojjatol Islam Val Moslemin Ali Younesi stressed the international Al-Quds day showcases the standing rapprochement among Muslims from different Islamic sects and denominations.

Non-Muslims, including Jewish people, are also taking part in the rallies in Iran.The late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini, named the last Friday of the lunar fasting month of Ramadan as the International Quds Day.
 
The religious cleric lamented that fact that Muslims countries turned a blind eye to the leading role of unity in the World of Islam and bowing out of their duties in preserving unity and solidarity in the World of Islam.

"The sole way for saving Muslims against the regime of Zionism to retuning to the slogan of Imam Khomeini (RA) and following his way which is rapprochement among religions," highlighted Hojjatol Islam Val Moslemin Ali Younesi.
 
Each year, millions of people around the world stage rallies on this day to voice their support for the Palestinian nation and repeat their call for an end to the Tel Aviv regime’s atrocities and its occupation of the Palestinian territories. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani (seen below) also joined the Friday rallies in the capital.
