Religious cleric touchs upon Union of Economists in the realm of unity

Head of the Union of Economists in the realm of unity and rapprochement, Hojjatol Islam Qolam Reza Mesbahi Moqaddam in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) touched upon the programs and set objectives

in this union.

"The Union comprises of the leading economists in the World of Islam, those who are interested in the Islamic approach and the approximation of religions," the religious cleric briefed TNA reporter on the structure of the body.

"The union advances various objectives, providing a ground for economists to get familiar with each other, teaming up for sorting out problems, exchanging experiences among Muslim, strengthening Islamic economics against the Western economy, and providing a framework

for cooperation among Islamic countries in economic affairs to name a few," underscored Hojjatol Islam Qolam Reza Mesbahi Moqaddam.

The religious face went on to add the union tries its utmost to pave the way for Islamic countries and Muslim nations to be economically independent, using the competence and skills of economist to this end.

"Founding board's members were selected from the members of union, but we have to recruit more Muslim economist from other countries," stressed

the Head of the Union of Economists in the realm of unity and rapprochement noting the General Assembly is held with the presence of 110 to 140 credible Muslim economists and this Assembly will choose 11 to 15 members as the Board of Trustees.

"Following the establishment of the secretariat by the head of the union, the executive related issues and tasks will forwarded and advanced," underscored Hojjatol Islam Qolam Reza Mesbahi Moqaddam.
