Ayatollah Araki receives Head of Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement

Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki made the remarks in a meeting on Sunday with Ramadan Abdullah, the head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, and his accompanying delegation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

President of Iran top unity center expressed his sincere hope for success of resistance and accomplishment of all set objectives to this end stressing the final triumph, not far away to go, belongs to Palestinian nations.

Enlarging on his line, the prominent religious face quoted holy Quran verse as saying, "And whoever takes Allah and His Noble Messenger and the Muslims as friends so undoubtedly only the party of Allah is victorious".

Briefing on objectives forwarded up to here by the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, the grand Ayatollah beckoned to the recent moves of this unity body in establishment of Resistance Ulimah Union stressed, "the union consisting of hundreds of featured religious faces in the World of Islam has sided with Palestine and Islamic Resistance movement through releasing statements and mounting meetings."

Ayatollah Mohsen Araki has strongly lectured some certain countries for leveling accusations against the group (Hezbollah).

Needless to say, the OIC recently issued a statement accusing Hezbollah of backing terrorism and causing instability in the Middle East.

The statement, which was not issued with consensus and was not endorsed by regional heavyweight Iran, also included anti-Iran articles. It had been drafted during an expert-level OIC meeting in the Saudi port city of Jaddah in February.

According to Lebanese political analysts and law makers, the accusations and statements that were issued by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation have no value or effect. They will never change anything in their choices and they will never be able to prevent resistance from continuing on its  path.

The summit held recently in Istanbul under the theme “Unity and Solidarity for Justice and Peace.” The OIC’s statement was issued without the consensus of the organization’s member states.

The anti-Hezbollah move comes following similar actions by the Arab League and the [Persian] Gulf Cooperation Council, which have labeled the resistance movement a terrorist group. Hezbollah blames Saudi Arabia for exerting pressure on other Arab countries to take such stances.

Ayatollah Araki with this connectionunderscored, "in the upcoming meeting of resistance Ulimah Union, the event will support, once again, Hezbollah and Islamic resistance, condemning the willful move of some certain countries for holding and naming Hezbollah as terrorist."
