Representative of Supreme leader and Friday prayer leader of Gargan city has stated that starvation purifies and cleanses the heart of a man.

The representative of Supreme leader in Golestan province, Ayatollah Syed Kazim Noor Mufeedi, while talking to the fasting believers in Gargan city has stated that during starvation a man is more inclined towards following the divine teachings.
His eminence stated that usually guests are welcomed with feasts but the Almighty Allah (swt) welcomes his servants with appetite due to the aforementioned reasons.

His eminence stated that the month of Ramadan is the month of hunger and this is the reason fasts are made obligatory for Muslims. 

Ayatollah Syed Kazim Noor Mufeedi stated that the philosophy of fasting is to bring the hearts closer to Allah (swt). Ingestion to the end of appetite after opening a fast, is against this philosophy. 

His eminence stated that as a fasting believer bears hunger during day time, in the same way he should avoid excessive eating at the time of night. Ayatollah Syed Kazim Noor Mufeedi stated that the objective of fasting in Ramadan is to achieve closeness with Allah (swt). 

Friday prayer leader of Gargan city, Ayatollah Syed Kazim Noor Mufeedi stated that to achieve closeness with Allah (swt), we should not only refrain from eating and drinking but our whole body should also refrain from sins in this month. 

According to Shabestan, Ayatollah Syed Kazim Noor Mufeedi stated that fasting paves the way to achieve closeness with Allah (swt). He said that we should refrain from telling lies, accusing and hurting others in this month because all of these acts are sins. He further stated that it is highly recommended to recite Holy Quran in the month of Ramadan.
