Shia cleric slams global terrorism
Hujjat-ul-Islam Reza Ramezani, director of Hamburg Islamic Center, slammed the recent terror attacks in France, US, UK and crimes committed against Shia community in Bahrain and Pakistan rebuking the silence of international bodies towards perpetrators, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the holy month of Ramadan and the messages Hamburg Islamic Center has received from different Christians councils marking the fasting month to all Muslims saying that a common point in all these messages were deep concerns over the chaotic situation across the world.

He said,” The message of religion is one of blessings, peace, fraternity and spirituality for living in coexistence though this peace does not mean silence against oppression.”

He added,” It is also not enough to merely express concerns over the critical situation and taking a neutral stance against the growing oppression and violence is illogical; hence, we should – as learned from first Shia Imam- Imam Ali (AS)- stand against the oppressor and help the oppressed.”

He also touched upon the crimes committed by Saudi Arabia in the Middle East region and said,” The crimes committed in Yemen were so expansive that the UN black listed Saudi Arabia among other violators of human rights.” And added,” The genocide of the Yemeni children were so horrible that some European countries banned selling of weapons to the Arab kingdom but what happened at the end was the pressure imposed to the highest human rights bodies, United Nations, to the point that the tyrant government was justified without any clear reason eventually removed from the black list.”

The cleric demanded,” If genocide is a crime then why is it ignored so that the perpetrator feels free for more crimes?”

Hujjat-ul-Islam Ramezani said,” World people expect the UN, Security Council and other international bodies to truly defend the human rights while in practice it interferes only to defend the benefits of the world powers and keep silent when it comes to terror, massacre and genocide in Syria, Yemen, Bahrain, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan and this way show green light to criminals to commit more crimes.”

Director of Hamburg Islamic Center added,” These crimes are not limited to the east.” referring to the recent killing of a police offices and his wife in France, assassination of a British lawmaker and also shooting spree in Pulse club in the US when ISIL terrorist group claimed responsibility for the latter.

The cleric warned against the extremist view of the terrorist groups and their indiscriminate killing of all people across the world.

Shia cleric concluded with expressing deep concerns over the present chaotic situation in the world and said citizenship rights cannot be granted based on nationalities urging for immediate measures against Takfir (excommunication) and violence without any racial tending.
