‘Safeguarding unity is a divine duty'

General Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought touched upon the profound impact of unity in the Islamic society, encouraging as well Muslims to preserve it.

Speaking in a scientific meeting on “Lifestyle, Empathy and Compassion”, General Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohsen Araki counted safeguarding unity as a divine duty noting preserving unity is not simply a duty, all the same it is of the most important tasks should be given consummate attention, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).  
 
The Grand Ayatollah went on to note, “Muslims’ differences in Islamic denominations lie in minor areas, given that Muslims are in the same page with it comes to major points.”
 
“Intellectual assistance among Islamic jurisprudents or thinkers and finding the fact that no difference stand in lifestyle patterns based on which Muslims should live, will in turn led scholars to offer a united model for the Islamic society,” said President of Iran Top Unity center.
 
Ayatollah Araki backend to what god describes about ignorant people ‘s lifestyle in his saying, “And we have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind. They have hearts and with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they ears with which they do not hear. Those are like livestock; rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless.” (7:179)
 
In another line of his remarks, General Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought beckoned to what He delineates about people who choose the right path and way of living: “And remember your Lord within yourself in humanity and in fear without being apparent in speech – in the mornings and the evenings. And do not be among the heedless.” (7:205).
 
Ayatollah Araki urged Muslims to select the right path and the lifestyle God commands humankind to follow. To the grand Ayatollah unity is one of the precepts of the Islamic ordinance and to this very end Muslims should respect each other verdict on different issues. To him, Good communication provides a solid foundation for increasing unity.
 
General Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought in his remarks always urges Muslims to abide by the mores of the Islamic society one of its basics is having an Islamic and wholesome lifestyle.
 
Scientific meeting on “Lifestyle, Empathy and Compassion” was held in the holy city of Mashhad and was attended by religious clerics and thinkers.
