“Supporting Palestine, religious duty of all Muslims.”

Akhound Esmaeel Sobhani, professor at Jame’eh Seminary in Bandar Torkaman, noted that religious duty of Muslims obliges them to support their lands, particularly Palestine and Jerusalem Al Quds which are inseparable parts of Muslim world in terms of cultural, historical and political importance, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He added,” Quds is quite important in Islamic views and that is because it has been the first Qibla (praying direction of Muslims) and the third important holy site after Al Haram Mosque in Mecca and Masjid al-Nabawi.”

Esmaeel Sobhani stressed that the fate of all Middle East countries are tied together and noted,” Any failure in the region or to Muslim countries will lead to failure for other states.”

He added,” Insecurity, instability and chaos in any Islamic country will lead to damage for other Muslim countries and weakness in any state brings incapability for other Islamic nations.”

Sunni scholar praised Iranian government and nation’s pursuit of Palestine as a great help to prevent dispersion in the world of Islam and said,” That has also greatly contributed to preventing realization of Zionist objectives in the region.”

He hailed the Iranian nation for victory of Islamic Revolution which has led to awakening of other Islamic countries and demanded the people to prevent occupation of Islamic lands by world colonial powers.

Professor at Sunni Seminary of Jame’eh highlighted national and religious importance of support for oppressed Palestinian nation.
