General Secretory of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohsen Araki placed accentuation and stress on the pivotal role of mosques in Islamic Societies and cities, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).


Speaking in a meeting titled “Feqh and City Constructions; Horizons and Necessities,” Ayatollah Araki put stress on the Islamic rules which should be considered in city constructions process.

In his term, the city in which Muslims live should reflects the religious takes they are following. Ayatollah Araki stressed the key role of Mosques in Islamic society which by nature give a religious color to Islamic cities and areas.


“In religious teachings, Mosques are the houses of God,” stressed General Secretory of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought, adding these house are the heart of Muslims’ societies.


“The physical construction of cities should strengthen the standing tie between people’s lifestyle and divine codes or symbols,” said the grand Ayatollah.

Ayatollah Araki always stress this assertions that Muslims’ lifestyle should reflect that they abide by the Islamic principles and teachings.


In his line, warps of Muslims’ lifestyles and mores should be indicative of their religious precepts. To him, Ahlalbat’s way of living substantiates such an important thesis.



It is worthwhile to note that General Secretory of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought in his trip to the holy city of Mashhad attended different religious meetings and seminars.

The grand Ayatollah gave speech on the importance of unity and called on Muslims to follow religious principles and teachings, refraining as well from any measures which in turn led to disunity and dispersion in the society.
